Vargas Girl on Fictionwise & Pushing Daisies

Thursday, October 2nd, 2008

Strange combo for a blog post, I know. One part announcement, one part tv commentary.  Let’s do the announcement portion first, shall we?

I just found out a day or so ago that my book VARGAS GIRL will be winging its way to Fictionwise most likely next Monday. This is a good time to buy, because Fictionwise gives discounts for the first week a book is available on their site. So take advantage, if you haven’t read it…who doesn’t like a good sale?

VARGAS GIRL is a book about mistaken identity, pin up models, and a very sexy art collector. If you don’t know what a Vargas Girl is, why don’t you read my (adult) post on the topic?

Now, on to “Pushing Daisies.” Another favorite show of mine that returned this week.  This show is like nothing else on tv. I don’t know quite what to characterize it as…a mystery show?  a romance? a fantasy?  All three I guess. It just has a lot of heart. And you always end up smiling at the end. I’m glad to see all my favorite characters back. The snappy dialogue. The nutty mysteries. The pie!

So glad to have the writers’ strike over.

And there are still more good shows to come - the “24″ movie in November, “Battlestar Galactica,” “Lost,” etc.

What new or returning show are you looking forward to seeing?
