GOING DOWN on Fictionwise
Thursday, May 1st, 2008My book, GOING DOWN, should be available through Fictionwise any day now. It was posted to the Cobblestone Press forum that it was uploaded into their system on April 29th.
This is when the obsession begins. You start checking every day to see how your book climbs in the rankings. Then, you wonder when a reader will review it. It’s terrible.
Maybe not every writer does this, but I just can’t help myself. I really want to know what readers think of my work, and rankings and reader reviews are a good way to gauge that. No writer wants to think they spent time writing something, putting a lot of creative effort into something, and then find out that no one loves your precious little baby.
The way to battle this obsession? Write something new. I do need to work on my May newsletter today, so that should be a good distraction, and I also want to get going on my new group writing project. Let’s hope that works.
Make sure to stop by next Monday for an author interview with Antonia Pearce! I think she might have some very interesting answers to the questions I posed.
